Start by filling out the online residency application form via the official e-Residency system: e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr
Important Tips for the Online Form:
-
Permit Type & Reason: You must apply for a Short Term Residence Permit. When the dropdown menu appears for the reason of stay, you MUST choose ERASMUS DEĞİŞİM/ EXCHANGE.
-
Device: Use a computer rather than a mobile phone to minimize system errors. (You are welcome to use the computers in our office if needed).
-
Date Format: If you receive a date error, try entering the date in the MM/DD/YYYY format.
-
Health Insurance: You must purchase your private health insurance before applying, as you will need to enter your policy information into the system.
-
School Information: When prompted for your school's details in Türkiye, please use:
-
Alanya Üniversitesi: Cikcilli Mahallesi Saraybeleni Caddesi No:7 Alanya/Antalya
-
-
Duration: The system calculates your requested duration automatically. Please ensure you select a minimum of 6 months and enter your entrance date accordingly.
-
Appointment Date: You must select an appointment date to print the form. However, the specific date you choose is not important, as Alanya University will submit your files on your behalf.
-
Printing: Make sure the information entered is 100% correct. The final form must be printed out and signed with a wet signature (ink pen). Always keep a backup copy of your application form.
-
Note: If you run into any system errors, please take a screenshot and contact our office.
2. Payments and Fingerprints
To proceed efficiently, we recommend completing your payments and fingerprints in the following order:
-
Payment: Go to the Tax Office (or an authorized bank) to pay your residence permit card fee. The required fee amount will be indicated on your printed Application Form. Keep the original receipt to include in your application file. You can also pay online via the Digital Tax Office.
-
Fingerprints: Visit the Migration Office to submit your fingerprints. Crucial step: After giving your fingerprints, ask the officer to write your Fingerprint Code directly on your application form.
3. Required Documents Checklist
Please gather all the following documents and place them in a Pink File Folder (available at any stationery store).
-
Printed Application Form: Must include your wet signature and Fingerprint Code.
-
Tax Payment Receipt: Original receipt of your residence permit fee payment.
-
Passport Copies: Copies of your ID information page, the page with your entry stamp into Türkiye, and your visa page (if applicable). Your passport must be valid for at least 60 days beyond your requested residence permit duration.
-
Biometric Photos: Exactly 4 biometric passport-sized photos. They must be taken within the last 6 months against a white background.
-
Health Insurance: A copy of your private health insurance policy (the first two pages containing your policy details are sufficient).
4. Accommodation Documents
You must provide specific documents based on where you are living. Please follow the checklist for your specific housing type below:

-
Special Cases: If there are multiple owners on the title deed, all must be on the lease or provide power of attorney. If the owner is a company, a signature circular and official company documents are required. If you cannot reach your landlord, you may need a friend to provide a "Letter of Consent" (see Option B).

Deadlines: You MUST complete your residence permit application before the end of the semester. Once the semester ends, your student status changes to "passive" and you will no longer be eligible to apply.
-
Document Submission: Document deliveries to the Migration Office are scheduled weekly or biweekly. If you miss a delivery day, your file will wait 1-2 weeks for the next submission.
-
Migration Office Visits: Because Alanya University submits your files for you, do not go to the Migration Office on your appointment day. You only need to go there to give your fingerprints. Please direct all questions to the University's International Office.
