Description:
A triathlon is an endurance multisport race consisting of swimming, cycling, and running over various distances. Alanya International Triathlon has been organized for 30 years. It’s the most important sport event in which both Turkish and foreign sportsmen take part. This ESC project is open to all young people between 18 - 30 years old regardless their ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or political views. Volunteers will be selected in a fair, transparent and objective way. Because of the international character of the event a good knowledge of English is required. The selection process will be done by sending organizations with the cooperation of Alanya University.
General activities that volunteers will perform:
• To help prepare racer bags
• To help prepare the race track
• To assist pre-registration officers
• To distribute racer bags
• To ensure that helmets and running shoes are left in baskets in the change area
• To take pictures and videos of activities
• To guide athletes during the race
• To arrange the result boards in the race centre
• To ensure race safety
• To distribute water and food supplements during the race
• To participate in the volunteering activities of the committee in the racing area
• To promote volunteering: by creating a blog, through social networks, press and conferences
• To give local population the possibility of interact with volunteers in a foreign language
• To participate in inclusion activities with the foreign inhabitants living in the area
