Solidarity through Volunteering Activities at Intercultural Association For All (IAFA)

Project Description:
It is intended to help in he creation of a more interconnected European environment, where all the volunteers can contribute in social, cultural and professional ways, in order to create, in the future, a more powerful EU and with better knowledge of each country’s reality. Partners were chosen by its experience and collaboration, and by their participation on similar projects. The volunteers will have contact with a new culture, will meet new people and will live new experiences. The volunteer will have the opportunity to participate on events’ organization and in several activities promoted by IAFA. Being the voluntary from a different nationality, they can share their experience and culture giving projects added value in the European intercultural sphere. Before the departure, each ESC volunteer must sign with the sending and host organizations a volunteering agreement. This agreement will set the tasks that the volunteer will perform during the ESC project, as well as the intended learning results. As part of the agreement, the volunteer will receive a ESC pack containing information about what to expect from ESC and how to use Youthpass, and it will also receive a certificate in the end of the action. There are several activities for volunteers to participate. Besides regular activities, volunteers will work in the IAFA developing department.
General activities that volunteers will perform:
• To participate in cultural and sports activities of inclusion proposed by IAFA, where less opportunities participants (physical, economic or social issues) will be invited to participate; • To promote volunteering: by creating a blog, through social networks, press and conferences;
• To work with people with economic difficulties and/ or in a long lasting unemployment situation (more than one year);
• Elaboration and coordination of local and regional activities;
• To give local population the possibility of interact with volunteers in a foreign language;
• Creativity and development (according to volunteers' interests and skills);
• Participation in inclusion activities with the foreign inhabitants living in the county.

Project Description:
The aim of the project is to increase intercultural solidarity and awareness of local community. This project combines principles of solidarity and volunteering for needs of local community by promoting the value of volunteering and solidarity. We are engaging young people and seniors in strengthening of local community cohesion and increasing of the sense of European citizenship, while promoting social inclusion (inclusion of old peopleand Ukrainians). In this project we are focused on 3 direct target groups: Youth, Seniors and Ukrainians.
